July 15, 2024 - CMR Surgical, a globally renowned surgical robotics company, announced today the immediate appointment of Daniel Moore as the non-executive chairman of its board.
Daniel Moore brings over 35 years of experience in the medical technology industry, including nearly two decades at Boston Scientific where he held several senior management positions.

Daniel Moore is a seasoned professional in the medical technology field with over 35 years of senior leadership experience, having held positions at several globally recognized medical technology companies. Below is a timeline of Daniel Moore’s career achievements:
Daniel Moore served as the President and CEO of Cyberonics for 8 years, where he led the company in developing and selling neuromodulation medical devices for the treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy and treatment-resistant depression.
In 2015, Sorin Group and Cyberonics merged to form LivaNova. Sorin Group specialized in cardiovascular disease treatments, while Cyberonics had core expertise in neuromodulation. Post-merger, LivaNova has been offering innovative solutions globally in cardiac surgery, neuromodulation, and cardiac rhythm management. Daniel Moore served as the chairman of the board at LivaNova.
Daniel Moore established his career in medical devices at Boston Scientific, where he worked for nearly 20 years and held various senior management positions, including President of Intercontinental and Distribution Management.
Additionally, he has held several high-level board positions within the MedTech industry, including chairman of Brainscope, GI Dynamics, and the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA), as well as a board member of the Epilepsy Foundation.
As the new non-executive chairman of CMR Surgical, Daniel Moore will lead the board of directors and work with board members and the team to drive the company’s growth strategy, promoting the widespread use of the Versius surgical robot across various countries and regions, helping all patients in need of minimally invasive surgery.
